Stuck in Addiction (Poem)

Stuck in Addiction (Poem)

A Poem by Damien Davison
"

The tears fall with the raindrops...

"
The tears fall
With the rain drops
Can't find a way
To make the pain stop

Can't seem to let things go
No guardian angel
Go through it worse
Where'd my mind go

Sure I still learn s**t
But no matter the struggle
I still yearn s**t

Go through a ball, a bag, a bottle
Still burn s**t
Thinking the escape is better
Then finding solutions

You've summed up the trauma of any addiction so precisely in 4 short paragraphs.. It is a work of a lifetime.

So apt when you say:

"Thinking the escape is better
Then finding solutions"

Wise:)
