Escaping Life (Poem)

Just a poem I wrote about life.

As we walk through life

Beneath our feet

Forests change to city streets

Roads to trails then paths we tread

Escaping life to wind up dead

Author's Note

First stanza is talking about physically moving from earth to pavement, second stanza is describing the directions in life, and how we escape life with work, entertainment, substances...
