Chapter 2 - The Gate Way (Spoken Word)

The second chapter, this is where I start practicing a magic that I replaced weed with.

2.1

Five kids of twelve and thirteen

The choice echos

Fate rings

We didn't know it then

One of these kids was meant for great things

2.2

Eric's barn

We did sneak in

The cold of winter 

Frozen skin

The older asked if we have tried

This Way of magic

So we grinned

2.3

In a circle

Looking down

The ground is warm where magic's bound

These five kids are so content

Within this world

They've never found

2.4

Our bodies start to rise

Floating

Peace fills our minds

Energy flows through our veins

No mistake

This is a high

2.5

Our backs arched

And limbs hanging

Open mouths 

Concentrating

Burning out the little stress

We had as kids at these ages

2.6

Flowing focus

Trying to hold it

Images of a good place

I'd call home and

Feeling the warmth

Though it was a cold day

A banned Way of magic

The paths that we take

2.7

We descend

And start laughing out loud

For the reason of nothing

And what we had found

2.8

We knew how to practice

This life changing magic

We went our ways

Feeling spaced

Dropped

Power napping

2.9

The next fall of light

Sparked desire to try

The Way we'd been taught

In the public

Outside

2.10

We went to the place 

Where the little kids played

In the dark of the night

We stepped in to the Way

2.11

A feeling

Uplifting

Consciousness drifting

Potency 

Not as great

High still achieving

2.12

Wandering back

To my family's home

Enjoying the scenery

Laughing alone

I open the door 

And went straight to my room

But mother did call

And my heart hit the roof
