A Different Side of Me

A Different Side of Me

A Poem by Tasha
"

Guy's perspective of being cheated on

"
I loved you,
I loved you more than life itself,
I gave up everything for you...
the lies,
the games...
everything... for you
and this is how you repay me
by cheating on me!

You are my life's greatest treasure,
I don't want to see our rock of love
crumble into a simple piece of granite
I had the freedom to love you as I pleased,
but you took it away from me
and captured it in a hive... that can never be replaced
no matter how hard I try,

You're enslaving me in your whorish ways... making me one of "them"
I don't want to be that,
I just want to be with you
but I can't leave
the boundless attempts to break free from your bondage
is engulfing me...

Making me want to scream out loud "I HATE YOU!"
but I could never hate you,
and you know that...
because I love too much to ever despise you
for what you did, no matter how hard I try

You are my one true companion...
that I never want to lose

I just really loved these words here,
I know half of these feelings quite so well.
Well written write.

Often when we think of someone cheating its the guy but I'm sure men fell hurt too when they are cheated on.
Thanks for the view inside a guy's mind.

When you have caught a cheater. Best to release them. You were lucky to catch them this time. A strong poem. I like the story and disagree with the ending. Thank you for a excellent poem.

You did a great job on this piece. I really like the part where you say "I had the freedom to love you as i pleased". That was profound for me and I can definitely relate to the whole poem. Pain is the one emotion that I believe we all have the strongest link to. You did a good job putting everything together and showing the emotion. Well done.
