No Longer The Same

No Longer The Same

A Poem by Tasha
"

"
"What's gotten into you?"

You're no longer the

Same girl you use to be,

You now hold your head up high

And you speak your mind,

Why are you no longer the same?

I like the old you

That did stuff to satisfy everyone else's needs

You did it without question,

I don't like the new you,

Because you're no longer the same

And I can't control everything you do...

Good form, structure and well written, but it seemed to lack the 'umph' some of your other work does. That indefinable something that set's your work apart from the norm. If I could put my finger on what it was I would tell you, but you definatley have it

You are definitely my go-to when I'm looking for direct devastation with a wide range. You're like a surgeon with that literary shotgun! Excellent as always!

I like this. Very simple, but I'm always a sucker for "more." I give a 9 for simplicity and form. The only thing that bugged me about it was you said "use" instead of "used." I'm not entirely sure if that was what you were going for.
As for the more part, I kind of felt that the opposition was a piece of plastic and so transparent. Because of the transparency, a part of me felt like saying "what took you so long" and with that the struggle was completely undermined. I know that changing is difficult and to change there must have been a darn good reason. Again, I understand it's a small piece, but I felt as if a lot of the energy was lost at the end... In my humble opinion, of course.

I like this. It's sarcastic and mocking. I can't really come up with the right words to describe how much I love this. J'adore.

I can see the meaning and how people could ask that. If I know someone like that I'd have to say something too.

"You now hold your head up high

And you speak your mind,"

is that a bad thing? i always say keep your head high ans speak your mind..

"That did stuff to satisfy everyone else's needs" .. you dont always have to please others...

but anyways, yea i hate that people change and that u feel like you dunno them anymore.. good flow and rhyme.

I loved it. Plan and simple. :) It reminds me of my mother. She use to wait on people hand and foot. Putting everyones needs before her's. She no longer does that. I'm proud of her. Love'd it girl keep it up. :)

Nice form. I think there could be more. This is the perspective of the boyfriend, yes? I'm sure he has more thoughts about his girlfriend's changes than just these. Maybe expand it. I want to see almost all his thoughts. Give me more.
