I Love You Like A Love Song

I Love You Like A Love Song

A Poem by Tasha
"

Inspired by the Love You Like A Love Song by Selena Gomez.

"
I love you like love song baby
I love you like a song on replay,
Our love is only temporary
Because you ended the song,
I remember when we use to walk hand in hand
When you use to hold me tight
And told me everything would be alright,
I remember when you made me feel special
Like the luckiest girl on earth
I love you like a love song baby
I love you like a song stuck on replay,
The lyrics to our song I'll never forget
I'm sure one day you will  regret
Ever ending our  love song
But until you realize it
You'll forever be my favorite love song...

The last two lines don't really make sense. You say that until said person realizes they were wrong, they'll be your favorite love song. Shouldn't it only increase your love for them if they come back? This poem doesn't pop to me--it's very... bland. I feel this has been written over and over again from the same angle and a topic like that needs some defining element or fresh outlook, if you're going to write the classic "we once were, but now we're not". Does that make sense? I'm really not trying to be harsh, only honest, and those people below you who talk nothing of the poem and only of the subject aren't helping. Hope this does!

I really enjoyed this.
Personallly I also love to write poetry to the tune of a song or while listening to one. Sometimes I find it helpful. Other times..not so much. haha. Sometimes I feel like it limits me, but obvioudly it did not limit you in this particular piece. You should read my poem "The Music" I was listening to the song "I like dirt" by the Thunderlords and wellll......yea read it and you'll see that it didn't work out for me at all like many a time my writing does not.

Anyways that was a great write and I truely enjoyed it.
