Love After War

Love After War

A Poem by Tasha
"

Inspired by the song "Love After War" by Robin Thicke

"
All our fights are useless
They're over the same thing,
We never find a solution
We're just left with more problems

There's something about you
When you're mad
That makes me love you even more...
The way your nostrils flare up,
The way your knees shake;
When you're mad
Its a turn on

But I'm tired of this war
And tired of fighting over stupid things
Why don't we drop all our weapons
And call it a draw

I love you,
And you love me,
The war is now over
And the lovin's just begun...

There is something about the different emotions expressed by people, especially by the lover that can be that turn on. I love this write. You speak of this nicely. The way you speak of just letting it be a "draw" and "drop all our weapons" to just let the war be over and carry on with the love. You show this picture well described in this situation. Nice.

I think my favourite lines from this poem are the last two...."The war is now over And the lovin's just begun"......for me this is how a good relationship could be...and something for us all to think about. Thanks for sharing - this got me thinking and I felt some warmth inside after reading it....

Was a song somewhere in time like your poem. I believe Dylan sang the song. "The war is over."? Would be nice if Nations decide to desire peace and have real hope and dreams of a good world. I like the desire and the hope in the outstanding poem.
