A Poem by Daniel Gardner

Just a late night thought that came in my head after a long writing brake.

Piles of decayed feelings stifle my mind.
Numbing every sense to the core.
Never have I felt this way before.
Where do I begin?
Where ever did I end?

Feeling like a new born babe,
I open my eyes to the blinding light of what seems like a new day.
But like a withered old man,
I take my last breath has my body fails.

There is no plan for this new day.
There is no emotion I can convey without hope.
Even though hope is starring me in the face.

My favorite type of poetry. Open the door to questions and things to ponder.
"Where do I begin?
Where ever did I end?"
I believe all of us feel frustrated. We need to find reason and purpose to stand strong and be alive. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I'm an inspiring writer that has a million and ten thoughts running through his head all day. I joined this site because my wife inspired me to. I was not prepared for the thoughts to jump out so much.. more..
