Evil Mirror

Evil Mirror

A Poem by Daniel Gardner
"

Just a random writing while trying to fall asleep

"

Forced into a corner with no window to break
My mind screams out from this heart piercing stake
I am not evil nor am I a demon
I came to try and live a life, a dream.
Not to be beaten until I scream.
Who are you to condemn me to hell?
Who are you to stress out my heart?
I just wanted to be left alone even if I did not have a home.
I wanted to eat the wheat of the field, enjoy the fruits of the land.
But you came at me ready to saw off my hands.
I am done with you, your face I do not want to see.
I am break free from your enchanted strangle hold.
I will break this filth ridden mirror no more to see the image staring back that is not me.

I like the directness and worthwhile questions. Hard to see the face of youth. I like the above lines. It seem we are led and have little control. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
