Tick tick tick

That is the sound of my broken clock
It no longer keeps time
Its just wanting to stop

Tick Tick, Tick Tick

Its so annoying that it makes that sound
But it is very profound
A symbol of our broken love
That a trained repair man can't fix

Tick Tick Tick Tick

I can see your getting annoyed now
Wanting to beat it to death with a stick
The annoying feelings you have
All come from a shattered past

Tick Tick Tick Tick

You grew tired of this clock
But you broke it
By misusing its delicate parts

Tick Tick Tick TI....

Its finally over now
No need to raise an eyebrow
Confused you shouldn't be
Just remember how you miss treated me.

I love your use of extended metaphors and the way you can incorporate the symolism and the metaphor without making it confusing or corny i love it :]

We need to be gentle with our time and clocks. All things need tender loving care. A interesting poem with a hidden meaning. A excellent poem.

I love the analogy. So many different layers and meanings can be extracted from a broken clock, specially those of love.

I love this line "All come from a shattered past" The fact that the clock is shattered and so are you...very clever and emotional

This is a poignant piece. Obviously someone who has not had a great life themselvesw has shattered the other person too, a broken clock, time ceasing to function, end of relationship.
Wonderful poem

The second stanza describing the broken clock can symbolise a lot of things such as love and loss. This poem is like describing someone doing something bad what they regret and feel guilty for as the forth stanza explains it more. More and more as you read it the questions you have in your head at the beginning are answered. Questions like what is this about? and What do I need to understand about this write? The poem has a strong message not to mess with the poet or he will get you back.

Liked the idea of co-relating the broken clock with with the broken relation of the past. Symbolization is beautiful :)
