Nothing & Everything

Nothing & Everything

A Poem by dangerbooze

I miss you
I miss what we had
The foolishness of youth
You and I clung to

I miss your anger
Your laughter
Your hate

I miss the fights we had
The long nights on the phone
Waking up to know
That I would see you soon

I apologized
Once upon a time
You said I didn't mean it
You knew me too well

I didn't mean it then
I do mean it now
But you'll never know
Because we'll never get it

Closure

I wish I knew
What you're doing now
A part of me wishes
That you're still alive

Have you met someone new?
Is she treating you right?
Better than I did?

I long to have
One last chat with you
One last all-out brawl
To settle the score
Of what happened between us

And then we would laugh
Laugh and laugh and laugh
About how foolish we were

You found it in your heart
To forgive me for what I'd done
It's my turn to tell you
After so many years

What I have
Only recently discovered
I have finally
Finally, finally, finally

Forgiven myself.

About
I'm a lazy writer. I write what I feel when I feel like it. But to be more specific, I have a constant case of writer's block about pretty much every thought that I can think of or even consider. .. more..
