Dual nature

Dual nature

A Poem by Daniel Dawes
"

Limiting to self

"
Walking in the darkness,
Until realizing your the light,
Hiding in the shadows,
The play can be a fright.

Limitless apart from I,
Where we become so lost,
Chasing who we think we are,
Through a life  that has no cost.

Play a different tune today,
One to set us free,
We are all an instrument of the one,
This truth a child can see.

Only to reflect on self,
Will the knowing come to light,
Yesterday's a memory,
Tomorrow's out of sight.

The primary tool of function,
Makes us sick, unloved and shy,
It's all created in the mind, up there,
But a shadow trained over time.

Seeing past the illusion,
Knowing there's more there,
Balancing on a tipping point,
Which way, we only stare.

Gently moving with the flow,
No fight, no judge, no seams,
It's all about the ride right now,
How rich we all shall be.
