The Start of a Poem

The Start of a Poem

A Poem by Daniel James Cardis
"

Next time, next time to a look to see if you notice any of these 'invisibles'

"

Have you ever seen someone sat staring mindlessly at nothing,

We all have,

Those people who sit among us,

But are a million miles away from everything and everyone around them,

Almost as if they aren't really near us, they sit right next to,

But are completely apart from the rest around,

Grief is their ally,

Apathy is their friend,

To relax in a restless state is their task,

To carry on living in the dark is their chore.
