Tastefully Tounge-Tied

Tastefully Tounge-Tied

A Poem by Dani

Potent pessimism poisons people to passivity.

Old ornery ornaments remain, only

Won over with wonder, wacky things not worldly

Endeavors, eager for entertainment not enduring engagement.

Resistance revels in rebellion, rebuke; humanity reveals

Less: lethargy, lassitude, a laryngitic spirit

Echoes fade into eons past, optimism, and its earnestness

Stricken by sour, sordid sickness. Shame of simplistic uniqueness,

Smartness. A singing belief says we’re stupid. We stay silent
