Little Girl With Big Blue Eyes

Little Girl With Big Blue Eyes

A Poem by Danny Russell

Little girl with the big blue eyes

Came out of the darkness

With tears and sighs

Timidly reaching

That pool of light

She sat quietly

Trying to forget the night

Angels crying, angels clapping

Like a tired kitten, she lay napping

Tired from her journey

Exhausted by frightful dreams

She now lay down by Godly streams

The waters of life

The waters of healing

The waters that are rife

With the love she is feeling

Little girl with big blue eyes

I too came out of the darkness

With tears and sighs

Now you and I are one in love

Thanks to our father who dwells above.

Forever yours,

Your husband, Danny
