Heavenly Pirates

As buccaneers of worlds afar we wandered,

adventurous and youthful seeking wealth,

as thieves in night so dark the riches plundered

of heaven and infernal realm with stealth.

We braved with ease the subterranean flame,

the clouds above to tempt us were unable.

In spite of tempting siren, worldly fame,

remained against the odds composed and stable.

It seemed to us a beautiful adventure,

to leave our wings behind and seek the treasure.

Yet, when we dared this flesh to take and venture

we learned how steep a price has wicked pleasure.

How hollow is the gift of mortal life!

Remotely can the highest world foreshadow

this earth of empty envy and of strife,

now fallen to the powers of the shadow.

I listen to their laughter filled with shame,

for in this piece of flesh, my barren vessel,

my instincts, weak and vulnerable to tame,

most often feel the urgent need to nestle.

We’ve chased our luck and fated piece of joy,

and so we’ve reached this land of deep division.

The harmony we’ve craved was just a vision

that now we are unable to enjoy.

Our chest with gold is now a pale illusion,

and now its former light does not remain,

it doesn’t glow as brightly, and the fusion

of good and evil drives us all insane.

And love, a fairy maiden in the maze

of trees, as old as centuries descending,

rekindles our desire to amaze

this cosmic eye tentatively attending.

It brings rejuvenation, recreation,

to every tender part of human Beings,

while He, with His unique and true perfection,

so easily brings birth of man in dreams.

The dreams may come and bring regeneration,

to give the earthly angels back their wings,

an unforgiving, sinful generation

will tremble, as their holy trumpet sings.

And lingering the might of fate and sword,

a threat for those who cowered and deserted,

will finally descend, with pen and word,

to judge the truth humanity asserted.

For with our true intention by the judge

of life and death, in highest heavens’ court,

we’ll weight our mercy, truth and even grudge

and all the debt of life we’ll need to sort.
