Rocketship of Love

Rocketship of Love

A Poem by Jared Kardos
"

Just a silly little diddy I thought up.

"

Come fly with me

On my Rocketship of Love

Come take a seat

As we soar through the stars above

Strap on in, if you dare,

Pick any star, it will take us there.

We’ll sail through the stars

Jump across the galaxies,

Claim uncharted planets as ours.

We’ll fly through nebulas,

The dust that once gave us life,

And spread it all over the interstellar canvas,

Just to write our names for the universe to find.

But all the splendor of the universe

Would be a bore,

An interstellar curse,

Were it not for the surprise,

The wonder, the feeling of magic,

That radiates from your eyes.

Beautiful. Corny, but lovely too. Such a romantic notion. You should be proud of this, it's a well written piece. XX

Jared, this is superbly written. I loved it. And gentle, you needn't ask, this was beautiful. I completely agree with Sarah's comments as well. You just wrapped the whole beautiful thing up quite perfectly there in the end. Love it!
