Nova

A Poem by DarkShines

My stars are dying

Fading and blackened

Burning out in an unforgiving burst

Scattering the light

Then swallowing it whole

They used to light

My darkest nights

But now they fall

You were the last one I saw

Screaming across my sight

In one final streak of light

Darkness consumes the glow

Aping my soul

Reaching out for your face

In a bleak and deserted place

Missing your gentle touch

But believing I deserve such

My stars are gone

Crumbled to dust

Facing a future

With an absence of light

Getting what's coming to me

Truly bitter and broken words. Its saddening, which I suppose is a good thing because that means you wrote it well. Excellent work!

Your imagery is stunning. I love the feeling that you put into it: sad yet beautifully written.

This write is very good, as usual! I LOVE your way with metaphors, and you comparing the stars with your lost love just shows how deep a person an be! I love this write, FLAWLESS JOB!
