I see you in my Dreams

I see you in my Dreams

A Poem by Rev. Fr, S. D. Blankenship DDiv., PhD., MA.

Starts off in (G) goes to (E) and then (C)

   (G)                               (C)                (G)

I see you in my dreams, I forget all my schemes.

    (C)             (G)      (C)                           (G)

I don't understand, I see you reach for my hand.

   (G)           (C)              (G)      (C)          (G7)

I hear the sound, as you fall toward the ground.

   (G)                  (F)        (C)                                     (G)

I see you in my dreams, I hear you yell, but you don't scream.

        (C)        (G)            (C)          (G)

You call my name, and I feel your pain.

    (G7)         (F)                   (C)         (G)

I hear your name, as they carry you away.

   (C)                  (-)           (G)           (F)          (-)  (G)

I See you in my dreams, I awake with tears and screams

      (G)                 (C)        (F)           (G)

No more will I hear you. No more will I see you.

   (G)                         (F)    (G7)                   (C)    (G)

I loved you with all of my heart, But now it's torn apart.

   (C)                (G)     (F)          (C)                   (G7)

I awake in screams, couse I still see you in my dreams,

I miss you Katie ( 1989-1995)

Very haunting, indeed. To feel that neither you nor the person in your poem is at peace...surreal and eerie.

What a beautifully sad lament this is my friend, it brought a tear, as I miss someone right now, who I lost in 2002, it is so hard to live without them isn't it? But we do. Great write, I feel sure she will hear it and feel it's love, through every heart that reads it. Smiling at you, Tai

It is a beautiful piece. I don't play an istrument or read sheet music, so I don't really get the notes, but the words are truely amazing.
It is so beautifully tragic.

the words get straight to the heart, and the melody adds far more impact to
the words; beautifully written. Its amazingly sad, but at the same time
i find it beautiful; mainly because of the melody that speaks out...
great job

A most lovely tune
a fine tribute for such a loss
of one who meant so much to heart
can feel the loss of the pain
quite a remarkable piece,
one can actually pick up a musical instrument
and just sing to the words of this piece!!

.... I don't know what to say that doesn't sound completely stupid. I like it, and it was really sad. I've never lost anyone so I don't know how you feel. sorry....
