Writer's block.

Writer's block.

A Poem by Rev. Fr, S. D. Blankenship DDiv., PhD., MA.
"

This is for anyone who has writer's block, and feels they are alone.

"

Wrong, wrong, wrong every word made to

Resemble my thoughts and dreams, but even

I can see it needs to be better! I see the

Theme and the plot. I hear the words and

Emphasize the scene again. Rewriting my

Run-though, over and over again. Every

Slur is wrong. I grab my pen and scream

Bogus! My nerves are stoned, my eyes are

Leery. My mind is lost in train of thought

Obstacle. I see it all so plain in my mind

Consecutive. Every thing I see I hope to

Keen my wit, so I can just write my block.

XD wow! This is so spot on! I get the same feeling when I want to draw something- then remember that I don't know how to draw. u.u But it's worse with writing, because we know we CAN write... our hands just aren't cooperating. And then, when you're mentally reorganizing your thoughts you get lost in the confusion and it's all chaos from there.
I can so see this happening, like in a movie.
Great job!

LOL! Know the feeling.....this is brilliant. When the block hits me, I usually just write horribly bad poetry all day to stay in practice, then, throw it all away and try again tomorrow. You, on the other hand, take it and turn it into good poetry. Good job!
Cheers!

I can relate to this very well, i have writers block all the time and it frustrates me tons. In fact right now i have the biggest writers block. But i overcome it.

I search for inspiration. This world is full of it. Whether its from a personal past experience or an experience of a friends. It can be a song or even a sign you read from a hobo on the street! All you need to do it put down the pen, and go walk. Anywhere! In the city in the country, in the ghetto or in normal neighborhoods. Just walk around and see what inspires you. But always carry a pen and a pad to write down some ideas.

Hope this helps.

I find that every time writers block is upon me, I end up writing about it as well, and low n behold... (with me) It actually helps break that vicious cycle of emotion that's fighting to get out but can't quite make it. =-) I hope this piece helped to inspire you to break through the writters block and get you right back where you were trying to be!

wow my sentiments exactly, you are hitting the head of the nail with this one. I have lots of idea's and thoughts, yet when I go to write I get lost between what I should do and what I need to do. great writing SD!
