The day he left me, I was gonna swear off a relationship for good
But then you came along and cheered me up
3 days past since he left, you decided to wanted to be with me
I said yes

 

You and I have known each other for a year
You claim that you wanted to be with me since the day we met
You told me that you fell in love with me since you first laid your eyes on me
You want to know why I didnt start dating you til now?

Its because I was afraid
I was afraid of the age difference between you and I
I was afraid if I started dating you people would judge us
I was afraid people were gonna break us up
And I was afraid to get hurt again

You and I have been together for almost 2 months
But Ive had feelings for you since I first saw you as well
Your a really sweet guy, your so caring
I want you to be with me forever
So let me ask you this

Beautiful write and must I say that age is just a number. Sure, it may be quite a gap, but your feelings for eachother hold and mean so much more than that. The connection is what is important, not the age difference. Many people don't understand how age isn't and shouldn't be an issue anymore and they try to pull certain people apart who really could be meant for eachother. I understand how this is, since I've been in plenty of relationships with younger people and have made them work. We cannot help or change who we fall in love with or develop feelings for, just listen to your heart and let it guide you.
