Sunday Thinkin' About You

Sunday Thinkin' About You

A Poem by Eric Darsie
"

Sitting in a cold apartment, without any power, thinking of one of my buddies, Travis Kidder, who goes to UMD.

"

Sunday Thinkin’ About You

The wind’s screaming by my window

I’m hard pressed for heat

And your caring touch.

Inside is getting ever so cold

While I grow old

Missing and desiring to be with you.

Our deep discussions

And our love for one another

Fuels us to be together.

Philosophical interactions

Hugs and ever more hugs

Describe you, me, us, together.

Cuddle to the core

Wanting to be warm

But you’re so far away.

Memories we share

Brings my smile back

And my mind off the cold.

I still love you

Will always forever

No matter the distance apart.

I dedicate this poem to you

With my arms wrapped around tight

For a hug, and to say, “I love you.”

I really like the intro of this. I feel like you make this poem stronger by adding in more description or something. I like the idea a lot.
