Trust

This poem is based upon a few conversations I've had over the past few years, and something I feel a close friendship should be based on (at least one of the things it should be based on).

Trust

 

One of the biggest commonalities in a friendship

Is to be able to rely on the with complete honesty

Going to one another and being a open book

Nothing’s off limits and all is fair game

 

Opening up and being honest is completely hard

A side of me not many others know of

A sign of where I consider our friendship to be

Wanted to be out in the open with nothing to hide

Just ask, answers will be given

 

There’s a deeper understanding of each other

When both can trust the other completely

 

Another level of knowing you

A lot deeper than I ever imagined

I still love you and love you deeper now

 

Poking holes into your wall

Seeing if there’s any flaws

I trust you fully

My close personal friend

 

Only if there were words,

Even enough words to describe

How I’m truly feeling inside

 

Trust, that’s what it’s all about

Trust, our friendship is deepening

Trust, center around Jesus Christ

Trust, that’s what we have

Trust.
