Headaches and Buttaches

Headaches and Buttaches

A Poem by Eric Darsie
"

I got bored today when my brother was getting checked out by a doctor, so this came out of my boredom.

"

Headaches and Buttaches

Two things that are no fun,

While waiting in a hospital lobby is:

A headache and a buttache.

A Mello Yello in my left hand,

My pen in my right,

Tend to get those two off my mind.

My 33 year old brother arm aches

And the news is playing in the background,

Can’t believe we spent most of the afternoon here.

So many nameless faces passed through

So many voices I tuned out, away from my ears

Work helped me tune all out.

With the weather changing

And my family jeans I gained,

My knees start to ache.

Three parts of my body ache

While penning this poem

I got nothin’ else going down.

Headaches and buttaches

While spending time in the waiting room.

I got nothing else to say.
