Everyday

Everyday

A Poem by David Jones

Everyday.
Everyday they are slaughtered.
Everyday we yell.
Everyday none hear.
Everyday we are called insane.
Everyday the death count rises.
Everyday we clench our teeth.
Everyday the dead are piled up.
Everyday we raise our fists.
Everyday we see the injustice.
Everyday we grab our weapons.
Everyday the bloodstain deepens.
Everyday we see the opposition.
Everyday we get discouraged.
Everyday we hold a white flag.
Everyday we should go farther.
Everyday the unborn are slaughtered.
Everyday we ask "How much longer?"
