Baby (Nighttime Desire)

Baby (Nighttime Desire)

A Poem by David-Tyler

Baby, you're a nighttime desire
But I never see you anymore
Baby, could you come a little closer
This liquor could use to be a little bit stronger

Baby, can you feel the Earth rotating
Beneath our hotel room carpet
Baby, can you feel the smoke pouring out
As I slip my lips between yours, so softly

Oh baby, can you feel me slipping
I'm afraid you won't catch me
Baby, hold my hand so I know you're there
As long as you're here in the morning, I don't care

Baby, I need you for a little longer
This liquor should be a bit stronger
Baby, you're a nightly color of blue
Yet, a divine and warm kind of hue

Oh baby, this life isn't for me
Living between country, and city
Baby, these skyscraper lights don't shine
Not as bright as your smile as you lay there, looking fine

Baby, you're a nighttime desire
But I never see you anymore
Baby, could you come a little closer
As I slip my lips between yours, love me softer
