The Dream I never wake up to

The Dream I never wake up to

A Poem by David-Tyler

I don't want to waste my time
But you're the dream I never wake up to
Maybe I should just read the sign
Or maybe I shouldn't give up on dreaming of you

Dreams never come true
So I stay waking up with you on my mind
Wondering if you feel it too
Because I can't leave the thought of you behind

So I wish on every wayward falling star
Somehow it makes me feel just a little closer
But you looked so pretty in my car
I should just forget it, you probably think I'm a poser

And it breaks my heart I came to close
Heart beating, warm feelings, and bright eyes
You made my hell feel froze
But why should you fall for me, I'm no prize

I don't want to waste my time
But you're the dream I never wake up to
Maybe I should just read the sign
Or maybe I shouldn't give up on dreaming of you

About
I post my worst work here to get constructive criticism. I'm critical of other people because that's what's helpful. I won't make anything personal until you do. I'm not here for drama, fights, or oth.. more..
