A Poem by Dave Brown

just fun

There was a weird green man I knew

Who went for a trip to the zoo

But he looked so strange

They were quick to arrange

For him to be on view in there too

There was a sweet lady from Lancaster

Involved with a younger broadcaster

His open mike was left on

From sundown till dawn

Which revealed he couldn’t outlaster

When Adam and Eve were in the gardon

They thought that free apples were a bargon

But the snake had a dashcam

Which relayed to the big man

Who gave them life with no chance of pardon

I love limericks & you've thrown down well-crafted ones. You capture the essence of limericks -- a strong bouncy rhythm & interesting rhymes (nothing simple), along with that recognizable twist in the last line of each verse. Here you also provide an added twist in the last verse, which is the butt-kicker of them all! "Dashcam . . . relayed to the Big Man" -- hilarious & witty & irreverent! All the things I love! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
