she said she'd love me

she said she'd love me

A Poem by Dave Brown

family issues

She said she’d love me, and she did

She said we’d have a sweet little kid

And we did

Then she said we’d be getting a mule

Did she think I was some kinda fool

A kid in the kitchen, that’s bad enough

But a mule in the ensuite

We’ll, that’s pretty tough

But all was solved by my little gal

With kid and mule in our home

I became more of a pen-pal

Living in what became my own zone

Outside in the corral

This made me laugh.....My daughter has always wanted a horse and I play an online game where you are a cowboy and every time the mobile trader comes to my town if he has a horse for sale I always buy it and put in in what I call my field (inventory) so I can always say to her that I've bought her a new horse every few days. Plus there was this big old house in the country that myself and my dad had our eye on which had stables etc and we always dreamt of owning it but knew we'd never get it (You could sell my home and my parents home and we'd still not be anywhere near the price)
