Vegan-ism

Vegan-ism

A Poem by Dave Brown

Hamrold’s sore stomach was buggin-im

Each time he ate meat it was slugin-im

For great chunks of meat he use to go beg-an

But he’d decided now to go veg-an

So that he didn’t succumb to fam-in

His prior menu he would re-exam-in

There would be no foodstuffs, such as Salm-in

Into Hamrold’s sore stomach, now goin jam-in

This meant there’d be no more double Big Macs

Instead, syruped pancakes, really, big stacks

Chicken strips would become an ‘Oh nuts’

Tho’ nicely replaced by a dozen, iced donuts

The situation has worked out quite sublime

He eats cakes and cookies most a-tha time

But the huge size he’s become is a crime

Cuz, from his seat, he can no longer climb
