The Dangers of Soap

The Dangers of Soap

A Poem by Dave Brown

That Jack who never took baths

Had to wear extra thick clothing

If he just wore T-shirts and shorts

Those round were all a-nosing

Then there was the thing about dogs

Who always seemed to follow

With their noses up in the air

And it made him feel quite small-o

Then a TV producer asked if he’d like to

Do a commercial about soap addressing

The producer said that Jack

Would find the results quite refreshing

Under an open studio shower, Jack scrubbed

With all the run-off going down the drain

But it seems that the build-up was so thick

That there’s been no sight of Jack ever again
