Pineapple Princess

Pineapple Princess

A Poem by Dave Brown

The pineapple kingdom was without a princess

Pineapple King decided this needed address

With pineapple Princes not now playing tunes

Having left their ukuleles unstrung in a mess

The King, knew selecting advisors, could be tricky

But the pineapple Kahuna could make things unsticky

The Kahuna was in tune-a with the tropical moon-a

And a pineapple princess, he guaranteed wikiwiki

After 200 flowers he found one princess fruit

The joyful Pineapple royalty could end their pursuit

With pineapple Princes from planted fields all round

Re-stringing their ukuleles and ignoring breadfruit

Ukulele tunes now fill the King’s field to excess

Tho’ they play aloha music, each prince will confess

That it is not all about hauoli ukulele playing

They’re really after the heart of the pineapple princess
