Blue Bee

Blue Bee

A Poem by Dave Brown
"

arm in arm

"

A blue bee on a garden bench

Was waiting for her lover

That they might meander through

Full fields of waving clover

To taste the sweetness growing

And wander with no haste

In the midst of all that glows

Savouring all luscious taste

Then arm in arm, a flight

To a spot high mongst the trees

Where they will rest in peace

With each other just to please

When the morning comes

Both will again take flight

But tonight, in each other’s arms

They will enjoy the soft of night

Nicely rhymed short love tale here, Dave. Never have seen a blue bee, though. Hope it doesn't turn into real depression.

I wish I was that blue bee. Up in some tree so carefree. Love it!

As romantic as it sounds, reports are saying the bee killing giant wasp is slowly invading our area .. read more
Romancing blue bees. I wish I had come across them.

Aw, I'm happy for the blue bees that have found each other. And how nice to limit our worries about whom to please to only one. As they say, happy wife, happy life or in this case, happy bee, happy me. I enjoyed the read.

Certainly romantic yes, but is it conceivable that it is bee-lievable

Dave, my dear friend, you are one of those writers I'm dying to read right away, after being gone for a month or two. This poem fills my cup. As I recall, when I left, I was in a jaded funk & feeling totally skeptical & commenting caustically on your sugary sweet romantic bent. I paused life to write a totally zany outlandish la-la love story of 350-pgs & now suddenly I'm creaming my jeans over your flowery bullshit *wink! wink!* I have caught the corn train, baby, & I'm all the way with you now. I might even do a romantic poem myself one day. I've really missed you & your beard. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
