Magic of Sky

Magic of Sky

A Poem by Dave Brown
"

wending

"

Along wherein wilderness wends

A gentle creek winds and turns

Among the tumble of smoothed rocks

T’ween mosses and fumbling ferns

A sprinkle of sun’s soft warming light

Carelessly choreographs long lazied leaves

Decorating soft water’s tumble and flow

Which willfully wanders as may please

A squirrel takes a cautious sip

While billowed clouds peek from on high

A small part of the life that lives

Beneath the magic of sky

What beautiful words to create a scene. Giving agency to every detail creates a strong emotion. Good job. It's a world I want to be in, a world I miss, and your words have given me the taste of it.

Indeed the microcosm painted here is a piece of magic on earth! Existing almost undisturbed in time. You must love your treks!
