A Poem by Dave Brown

Seems like my disposable commodity

Is just one more of too many already

From those that have, to those that don’t

Different labels for the one unibody

I follow the crowd wherever allowed

Carefully long the straight and narrow

Blending in with the untold masses

As neither Sparrow nor as Pharaoh

And when my parts are terminal toast

I wonder what the hell has it meant

To exist to just fade away

It all seems like a pointless event

a life of mediocrity...might be safe, but not rewarding...we have to push ourselves to be all we can be....
