Gone Fishin 11

Gone Fishin 11

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

Interstellar fellars

"

With their holidays having arrived

They decided to visit a distant place

Getting their poles and tackle all packed

They thought to snag some human race

Each continent overflowed with stock

From space ships, they’d drop lazer lines

Lottery tickets were the best bait

Tho’ real cash worked better at times

Alien #1 got a bite on his line

The one with the 10 million-dollar lottery win

Alien #2 got his lead pipe all ready

To club the human’s head, when #1 reeled it in

But it was just a skinny kid, undersized

So, they chucked it back overboard

Where that scrawny, lazer hooked human landed

They cared less, it was simply ignored

Then a really big catch took place

A female fishing, with a fish on her fishing line

When both were later baked in a touch screen oven

The taste was said to be really quite fine

They then hooked ‘Vera’ on their final cast

Just as she was about to solve a terrible crime

The really super nicest result of this catch was

She’d no longer be seen on prime time

I was once caught too, so i recited my poetry to them thinking perhaps that's why they hooked me... I guess they were catch and release sort of fisheraliens

They have? I've not been reading the news while on my little break here.
That is very cool, if they have. I hope I'm not the one to get hooked and clobbered.
