Mall Crawl

Mall Crawl

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Fathers and mothers and how many others

Often pause in their day discussing their druthers

While sitting pleasantly, drinking coffee or tea

On the boardwalk or alongside the sea

As the tide rises and falls, there are recalls

Of goods and services earlier seen in the malls

Regarding the cost and features of each

As communicated feet up, longside the beach

But as the sun rises and makes warm the day

Mothers, brothers and others oft inclined to say

Sun, surf and seaside when considered at leisure

Compared to mall meanders, is a much greater pleasure

The world of commercials beats into our senses

That quality of goods and services is truly immenses

And should you pay even a few extra cents-s

Mall meandering well compensates us

But mall meandering through the whole year

Creates extra girth from ankle to ear
