Baby Wrens

Baby Wrens

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Eight baby wrens

Recently emerged from shells

Now eating everything in sight

From rooftop to stairwells

Mothers hit the road

And fathers hit it too

Because not a single one

Could handle this rowdy crew

They figure they own the place

Even chasing off the squirrel

But in spite of their overwhelming ways

Each one’s a precious pearl

Endearing little write of noisy and hungry baby wrens. Don't you just love our avian friends? Mum and Dad have got their work cut out. Visually pleasing, heart warming too.
