Easy Street

Easy Street

A Chapter by Dave Brown

There is a place on easy street

Down along the harbor walk

Where I take my lazy feet

For coffee and to talk

About the things that bug our nation

Or when the hell was creation

And how there most surely otterbee

Many more winners of the lottery

How children are a special gift

Tho’ a finger do they rarely lift

Or if poets are a special breed

Born to fill a special need

Or why wives scream and shout

When guys like me, lay about

It’s just that sort of special place

For male members of the human race

Where we of marital second class

Sit, drink coffee and pass gas

Excuse the vulgarity, but my first reaction to this was, "F*****g awesome!"
I could talk about how it's so real, relatable, fun and funny, but the guys on "easy street" already know all that.
