Mood Poetry

Mood Poetry

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Writing mood poetry on a volcano rim

When everything round started to shake

I was thrown down, deep inside that hot hole

Helter-skelter, quite out of control

I had been re-doing the last line or two

But now I would be baking all through

Then, before I had burned black and blue

Back out of the volcano, I fortunately blew

Using time wisely as I was soaring aloft

I felt the poem ending was too soft

So, before my altitude took a decline

I carefully re-wrote, the very last line

When landing down, my butt took a pound

But at least my poem had the right sound

Now it’s up on the volcano I can often be found

Poem composin on that gyratin ground
