The Visitor

The Visitor

A Chapter by Dave Brown

He came to visit at first, then stayed

Although his image was mostly a joke

At first it was a slow Volkswagen he drove

But even that junker was pumpin out smoke

His name was Climate Change, and he

Eventually became tired of the pace

So, he dumped the VW for a Maseratti

That he could begin to race

His hot pipes are sending their charms

Spitting out pollution and fire

The atmosphere being blacked by smoke

From his spinning, strip laying tires

He smiles as huge forest’s shrink

From chainsaws and endless burning

Watching the temperature rise beyond

Has become his greatest yearning

He laughs at stupid mankind

Intent on his own destruction

And as he continues to speed

He’ll suffer no atmospheric interruption

compounded with stupidity
It never is (pretty).
I've seen entirely too much of this type of violence.
And that's exactly what it is.
I throughly enjoy how you make light of it and at the same time make it so obviously shameful and evil.
Great job on this one.
