Decay

Decay

A Chapter by Dave Brown
"

yes

"

A lone voice

Speaks to the soft wind

But it blows by

An emotion seeks solace

But is ignored

Even by the slightest breeze

Like an autumn leaf

Given no sustenance

It falls unnoticed

And ends its days

And decays

Where it lays

Lovely haunting autumn imagery to symbolize how many people go thru life with good intentions of connecting & doing good, but their efforts may not be rewarded or may be met with scorn, so they withdraw to the periphery of life & fade away more & more as the years go by. I know a bunch of people our age who get sucked into the void you depict as autumn decay (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
