The Novice

The Novice

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Donald was a novice vampire wannabe

Waiting for Halloween impatiently

He was a gruesome creature you-hadda-see

But a vampire’s success had no guarantee

It was for a sweet young thing he was lookin

To drop in a pot for some boilin and cookin

Fresh faced females were the perfect gender

He could mix with eyeballs in his blender

As night grew black, he went slinking

Of evil deeds he was solely thinking

Of tender young bodies he’d find alone

Just thinking bout, brought a hunger groan

He crept, drooling, crouching low

Till he'd found an opened window

He leapt up onto the wooden sill

And saw a lass with blood to spill

With fangs drooling he set about

His rear-end hanging half way out

But her Doberman, just outside that room

Seeing his butt, spelled his doom

Last seen screaming down the street

With Doberman assisted, two feet fleet

Its jaws clamped onto his too sore seat

Meant Donald would not try a repeat
