![]() Bright EyesA Chapter by Dave Brown![]() yes![]()
Two pumpkins came to our home Theirs was an unfortunate plight They both had no trace of a face And they sought to seek out sight They’d never seen sunlight’s glow Had not seen star’s twinkle bright Or the moon reflect off night’s snow Their daylight was as dark as their night Relief was found in a carving knife With pumpkin pieces flying a mile Till appeared a pumpkin man and wife Who have restarted their lives with a smile They are now constantly cuddled together Two loving hosts on our front porch With the two eyes they once never had Lit up as a welcoming torch © 2020 Dave BrownAuthor's Note
