Graveyard Shift

Graveyard Shift

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Horrible Hilda and Freakish Fran

Went night prowlin for an edible man

Colored either black, white or a tan

They didn’t really give a good damn

At the steel mill, on graveyard shift

So many yummy bodies through which to sift

There, no doubt they’d find a taste treat gift

Then do a whole human body, type of shoplift

With each grabbing a body, whole or part

On twin brooms, then they’d quickly depart

Till back in their lair, feeling too smart

They’d chop all in bits, to eat a la carte

After another stressful, all work, no play day

Into concrete coffins, afterwards they’d lay

To scheme about the next night’s tasty prey

But this time, planned to serve it in a buffet

Humans taste so yummy here. Perhaps, I'll request them to include me in the upcoming buffet! I love buffets!
