On High

There are planets and comets

In the October sky

But that’s not all there is up there

Flyin on high

 

October is for vampires and ghouls

Lurking neath beds ‘n’ stools

Boogeymen, black cats and open crypts

Dastardly demons with yellow eyed slits

 

Gruesome goblins, out body snatching

Foul frightful fangs fearlessly flashing

Hobgoblins howling by haggard headstones

Grim reaper’s gagging gravesite groans

 

Malevolent mummies moonlit moans

Wanton werewolves chomping on bones

Witches on brooms outlined by the moon

Cadavers with body parts all wildly strewn

 

Watch for fright night’s evil jack-o-lantern

Hobgoblins lurking deep in dank caverns

And while scarecrows screech and scream

Have a haunting time on this Halloween
