Cupid

Cupid

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Every year at Halloween

Cupid felt out of sorts

With his wussy bow’n arrow

And silly little diaper-type shorts

This year he wanted to change

He bought fangs and sharp claws

A black cape instead of white diapers

And great bat wings to help his cause

When night came, he grabbed his pitch fork

But only one wing would operate

His black cape ripped on a big toe claw

And his evil eyes wouldn’t dilate

The pitch fork lodged in a tender spot

Trying to fend off a dogbite

Realizing, it was easier just mending hearts

He lost his Halloween appetite

With his efforts badly wanting

Finding horror much too daunting

He’s cancelled out on Halloween haunting

And has gone back to Valentine jaunting

Ha,ha,ha. I love this stuff. Sometimes you are what you are, and the rest is just bull.

This is a cool story with a happy ending. Cupid went back to being his self. I only wish he could donate the cape to me. I'm longing to play the devil.
