A Chapter by Dave Brown

Fraught Friday’s fallout

Cull a trend to chill out

Away from stress and worry

Quills deflated

Monday’s heyday a mayday

For weekend warriors

Still prostrate

And laid away

I'm seeing a trend here. Around THURS or FRI, you were spilling a score of epic rambling poems that tossed all the wildass imaginary ghosts from your spooky closet as you whipped them up & made them dance a frenzy. Now here you are on MON with a big poetic hangover. I was wondering how long your heavy prolific binge would last. You're an old man. I should've known you couldn't maintain the madness as long as I can. You're just a flash in the pan poet (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

PS . . . just kidding! Your poetic stamina is so far beyond mine, I feel like a slug!

I had too much catnip on Saturday evening. It was a festive mood. Still recovering from the crash. I relate so much.
