A Chapter by Dave Brown

Sing a little bit with me

While I fly with the birds

Following morn’s sunbeams

Across the silver of sea

Sing about the wonder of day’s light

That brings earth alive

With the warmth of its glorious glow

As I bask in the wonder of flight

And when magic’s moonbeam’s

Transport me back to eve’s ground

There I’ll quietly settle beside

The soft of night’s burbling streams

And find comfort in a mossy bed

Where I’ll re-live each wind current

Until morning’s sunlight and I

Will waken, to again soar high overhead

I love your flight of fancy . . . describes how I've been feeling lately . . . far from the maddening crowds, enjoying my quiet-but-loud bird-tweetsy solitude for yet another blessed day. Already getting my gardening plan staged in sproutlet-cups lined up along sunny windowpanes, keeping my bounty inside so the damn birds don't peck them to nubs. It's a grouchy stand-off between me & the birds. I wish the dogs would chase them off my broccoli instead of lying around hogging the electric blanket. Such are the woes of the wilderness disenfranchised (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
