Santa's Visit

Santa's Visit

A Chapter by Dave Brown

Something rattled my pillow

And then shook my head

Which turned out to be Gyproc

Falling all over my bed

Me n’my wife

Of which I was the much fatter

Abandoned the collapsing bed

To see what the hell was the matter

I had to give my head a shake

With my very sanity at stake here

When I saw a red suited fat guy

And a whole buncha reined deer

The fat guy had fallen through the roof

And with a nod of the head

Both he and all his sharp hoofed deer

Did the real job on our bed

He then grabbed a big empty sack

And waddled fairly quickly downstairs

As we both dropped to our knees

And tried to remember our prayers

The deer meanwhile, pulled the sled

Out onto the front deck

And cuz we were freezing, we each

Had to grab a turtleneck

We watched as he dragged that sack, stuffed

Slowly back upstairs

Obviously now containing all our belongings

Included our new designer chairs

He also had a bottle

Of our very best rye

Which he shared with the whole herd

To help them once again get up real high

Then they arose from the front deck

Of which we had the perfect view

And as he flew away with all our possessions

He called back to all WC’ers
